And gills days, I believe on good bite days line color, jig color etc. Matter little, if the fish are there and wanting to bite with a function they’ll hit anything reasonable, again my opinion. Now on the tough days lots of time my dad and I kept about amounts of fish so I started experimenting with different colors on different rods and fished them consecutively and along side other anglers using the reverse vis line. Every single time it was just a push, it never seemed to matter on the bad or good days for the fish discerning the difference. And many of the lakes I fish are shallow clear water lakes so in hypothesis the line should be more observable to the fish, so that pretty much sold me on the hi-vis lines. (in-depthoutdoors.com)
I used to use 20-25 green berkley bg mono on my 975, 525, when i started now i use #65 berkley bg braid, mono is still cheaper and more forgiving than braid. As for high vis stuff i don’t think it matters as long as u use a leader of some sort, clear mono or flurocarbon. I use high vis lines to see where my line is and help others see it also. But it’s all the same id just go with the bg mono imho$. (stripersonline.com)
Founded in 1999, Michigan-Sportsman. Com started as a group of links to Michigan related sites, and a series of manually edited blogs. It was a marriage of my passions for the outdoors and the internet. In late 1999 we started our 1st message board. After going through 3 different message board softwares, we settled on one in late 2000. Photo galleries, classifieds, product reviews were added in afterward years. It was a social network before the term was coined. Users have self organized get togethers and many have made long lived friendships with others who share the same interests in the outdoors through the site. (michigan-sportsman.com)
The perfect balance of strength, toughness and handling. Stren IGFA Hi Vis Gold is a must for serious game fishing. Game fishing is a tough sport that needs a line that’s every bit as tough to stand up to severe conditions and powerful bluewater predators. Stren Hi Vis Gold’s mix of hi visibility, strength, durability and affect resistance delivers the tough performance needed for serious offshore fishing. (totaltackle.com.au)
Here is your hi vis level line. I went to a local subdivision pond some weeks ago, usually to throw spinners at the population of bass there, which average about a 10-12 largemouth. I brought my Iwana just to see what could happen. There were about 30 small bass hanging out by an inlet pipe, and with the tenkara rod I was able to crouch down and stay about 15′ away from them, and caught two on a size 14 kebari before they got wise to me and scattered. This was just as the sun was coming up, and I was using a 12′ length of your size 3 orange fluoro. I couldn’t believe how bright your line was in the low light. (tenkarabum.com)

Some years ago after seeing many hours of video on WFN on the benefits of using fluorocarbon as a leader and how it could improve your game of fishing. I thought I could give it a serious attempt. So I bought a spool of 6 and 8# test floro and proceeded to start fishing leaders. The 1st thing I noticed was how thick the floro diameter was as in comparison to the Braid. Up to 4x thicker! It just seemed odd and uncomfortable tying that thick leader on until the end of braid. But I fished the heck out of it and saw no distinct advantage over braid solo. But many disadvantages as in reduced casting distance as the big. (bigbluegill.com)
Rods can, many column space. Most of the selection lies with personal taste and preference. My favorite, all-time ultralight rod is a 5 foot 6 inch Bass Pro Shop Micro Lite in a brown finish …a 20-year old stick I paid $25 for and is still doing the job! Of the 30 or more UL sticks I now own, this one just feels better than any of the rest and had landed thousands of bluegills, crappies, bass and much larger game over the years. They do not make them anymore at BPS, and I don’t like their current line of Micro Lites near as much as I did the originals. But that is me. (carrollcountytimes.com)
