With the extra length the kayak is a little faster to paddle and all round a great performer. Again the standard supalite design idea was kept making the kayak great in surf conditions, super stable and comfy to paddle. Hi, sorry I have been a little bogged down with other projects. Plan to have part 3 finished this week…for what its worth I really liked the Pro Fisha 575. It has lots of great features and could be a welcome addition to my garage if I cold rationalize still another yak. If I had to decide just one Stealth kayak for all the things I like to do in a kayak I could most likely go with the Supa Lite as it’s better for playing in the surf I get here at my local, the Pro Fisha 575 isn’t that user friendly in the short choppy surf and wind swells we get here in the East Auckland region. I have never said the Dorado is the best yak for the surf. I know some others here have them so maybe your thinking of them. I like this yak much and it is my favorite in the stable. As for true surf yaks, I do not have one. My son has an OK yakboard but I have never tried it. As for the pounding chest thing, I am not into that. I am someone who really loves our sport and enjoy the differences of opinions. I skished for many years before to get into the yak. Since then I can not stop kayaking! it is like an addiction ten years afterward. I am going to attempt and come there on Sat. It is my girls birthday so I have to seel her on it. The bluewater fishing skis intended to manage surf conditions originate from South Africa and are loose adjustments of the common Aussie surf rescue ski. The biggest differences between them in comparison to a regular plastic SOT kayak are a flat fibreglass hull with a moulded fin and a strong hull mounted rudder.
