Bought this yak to use with the view Montour 11 we already had. This yak was supposed to be my husbands and we frequently traded rides for range. We used them on a small, fast moving river and also in the bays and inlets on the Atlantic. It’s stable, comfy and tracks well. We frequently go with a group of 6 -10 and when I was in this yak, I found that I had to really work hard to keep up with the rest of the crowd who are usually older and less active than my husband and I are . It handles surf well and is easy to maneuver. I found this yak much harder to carry and load on my own than the Montour is. (paddling.net)

I bought this as my first yak. It was great as an cheap way to get into the sport. Its lasting and has taken lots of abuse, comes with 2 flush mount and 1 scotty rod holders. They are the positives. The negatives are that it’s pretty uneasy. I bought 2 extra seat cushions to attempt and make long hauls a little less torturous. The screw in hatch just in front of the seat is badly intended and often could stick or attempt to cross thread. It’s also by no means water tight. Only put things in there if you have them in a waterproof container or ziplock! This boats is rated to 400lbs. Im 280lbs and it rides about 2 inches above the water with just me in the ship so its a pretty wet ride, however its pretty stable none the less jus be nice to have a bit more freeboard. I got put it in Raritan this past summer. When I got into calm water, I was standing in it to stretch. The length in open water like that’s a big plus, it tracks well and doesnt blow away in the wind. I love it, and I went through some 5-6 foot wakes from party boats with no problem. It’s a little wet of a ride, however its a SOT so expect to get splashed. I got mine new for $400 long story and I love it. If its in good form I say go for it. (stripersonline.com)

So I just got my 1st fishing kayak yesterday. View sport caster 12. 5. It is pretty well loaded with dang near everything. It has the stock seat although. It is thin and has no padding. I am a bigger man at 210 lbs so it is not going to cut it. Any of you heavier people have any input on a good comfy seat? I have seen some online but they are around $150 + I would like to get around the $80 mark. Any input on the ascend deluxe seat?it is the stock seat that comes on the FS12T. I got a $50 bps gift card that I can use towards it. It’d only cost me $40 of my money. It has these wings on the side that appear like they may get in the way at times although. (bassresource.com)

Fits my 11′ beat Sport perfectly. Great first impression with this company. I called to ask if this could fit my kayak because there were no dimensions listed in the listing, and the agent asked me to hold while she went to retrieve the hatch and really calculated it on the spot for me. pretty cool stuff .
