The bait well-liked with anglers and gives access to excellent bait grounds close to local fishing regions. The device is in the comparatively protected waters of Trial Bay and slimy mackerel and yellowtail scad yakkas can frequently be found in high numbers in the surrounding area of the buoy. Note that boats shouldn’t tie up to the buoy when collecting bait as this places extreme strain on the mooring line. Deploy your anchor. (dpi.nsw.gov.au)
It’s calm time for the bottom bouncers as the flathead have tucked themselves into the sand for the Winter and only some mowies and pigfish have been seen at the ramps. You could target leatherjackets as there still seem to be lots of them, and small hooks will get you all the sweep you want. Some snapper fall for drifted baits bounced along the bottom but the pick-and-berley technique will score the most of fish. (fishingmonthly.net.au)
Given the local knowledge and the choice of a range of techniques to match the conditions transformed what may have been a bad day into a good one. Three of the anglers were PFIGA members, so I’m not sure what success Joe Average could have had on their own another reason to think about hiring a professional local guide when fishing a new area. So-called experts could have done it tough without Greg s help. (fishingmonthly.com.au)
AMSA conducted broad ground and air search functionings for two and half days before being alerted by a member of the public that debris consistent with an aircraft had been located on their property. More investigation by a rescue helicopter and police confirmed the debris was from the missing aircraft. The crash was determined to have been non-survivable and coordination was moved to Queensland Police for their investigation. Ground police crews, one aircraft and 20 helicopters were tasked by AMSA in the search. A two person forward field base was deployed by AMSA to Gympie airfield. (amsa.gov.au)
We approached Marine Rescue Sydney to conduct VHF transmission reception tests inside a short distance east of South Head and in line of site of the tower that once supported a Marine Rescue VHF station. We used 5W handheld radios for the test and mobile phones for the instances when the VHF couldn’t establish a communication link. Marine Rescue Sydney at 1st couldn’t get our signal and when they did they rated it 1, 1; that’s weak and nearly unreadable. The weakness of the signal compares with a ranking of 5, 5 which is the best possible. Some number of years ago, for alike places and transceivers, we could often be given a 5, 5 ranking. In 2013 I was given 1st Class in Marine Science at the University of Wollongong NSW, Australia. Following this, I finished a 6 month contract with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy AWC at Mornington Wildlife Sanctuary in the remote Kimberley WA . Here, I was given priceless opportunities to give to the research and conservation of Australian wildlife. In recent years, I have worked as a Wildlife Ranger at Bungalow Bay Koala Village on Magnetic Island QLD and as a Nature Guide with Gordon River Cruises in Strahan Tasmania . These positions provided me with a range of expertise in animal handling, prisoner husbandry and eco-tourism. (au.linkedin.com)

We re starting to see debates in the newspaper and online about rebuilding Christchurch. Some property holders are racing in to demolish unwanted inheritance buildings, presumably to build a nice profitable McDonalds, however it s frequently possible to save something like the Harbour Light theatre, for which everyone who saw its cracked wall predicted doom. What I hope emerges is an real Vision for the city, a rebuilding programme with a unified, distinctive Christchurch style that will hold up for another 100 years. Now could be the time to get a group of New Urbanist architects to emulate the success of Napier and create lasting, sustainable, beautiful buildings that won’t embarrass our descendants.
