And did I talk about this music is bad? It s pure unadulterated black-hearted satanic evil from a theatrical standpoint anyway. None of the band members give up their identity, they all hide behind make-up or a hood, which leads to speculation that they can be members of other recognized bands. Now I don t put any stock in any of the satanic imagery that frequently goes along with heavy metal music. If anything it s just good fun like a horror movie. So these types of lyrics roll off me all the time like nothing. But, hearing lyrics like these in the perspective of music that s melodic and not really all that heavy really makes it kind of creepy. They eschew conventions of modern metal. It’s like they have ignored some decades of rock and metal progression favor of a late 70’s recognizing sound as their car of destruction. It isn’t fast or extreme, not exactly technical, and not low-fi. This is a band that has come with a singular goal and they go after it with complete sincerity and eloquence. Most of those songs that we ve chosen to cover, that’s just to say songs you haven t heard still or songs that we have been working on, are generally songs that we can find a different take on. We don t see much function in just playing other people s songs, most covers usually are just plain playbacks of the original which isn’t really our thing. We want to find certain songs that resonates one feeling and if you may be able to turn that around like we did in Here Comes the Sun in its original hopeful, romantic tune about the arrival of spring and love I guess. By just changing some chords and just just tune in down to minor it had a totally different meaning and it s not really that strange because that song in its original is really quite black but it s a forgotten song.
