The crappie its high peak in most reservoirs in northeast Ohio with the sunfish and catfish bite creeping up into the rankings. With water levels being a bit low across the board this year, anglers are having to find new honey holes as many of their old ones aren’t holding fish. The walleye bite has had lots of highs and lows. Anglers pursuing walleye should begin to think about transitioning to summer fishing patterns. Walleyes are starting to be caught by anglers drift fishing and trolling in deeper water. There was no real set pattern on finding largemouth bass, however once they’re located in the reservoir the bite was hard. (outdoornews.com)
A fishing rod with average to fast tip action and rated for tempt weights of 1/16 to 1/4 oz is good year-round for crappies. Attach to this a light to average sized reel spooled with 4- to 8-pound test fishing line. Minnows are usually used to catch crappies. All you need for this technique are small hooks sizes 4, 6, or 8, small split shot weights, and a bobber. Other baits that work well are 1/16 to 1/8 oz jigs with feathers, synthetic hair, plastic curly tails, or tube bodies. Jigs come in a mass of colors. Some people use long crappie poles or cane poles 9-14 feet to place jigs and minnows between submerged tree limbs. (delphosherald.com)
Excellent article Mike. I have not really tried fall humming but will give it a attempt. During the warmer months and at night I have had big success, particularly with the black. If i would not have read this article i would not be trying buzzbaits anytime soon. It is just so hard for me to put down the jig in the fall. I understand now when a friend of mine was catching bass in the fall on a buzz bait last year. He is one that will tie on a different bait every 5 minutes. This specific day he had tried everything with no bites so he switched to a buzzbait. In my head i started laughing, like what the hell is he doing. (ohiobassblog.com)
The earliest settlement in the township was the village of Lexington, laid out by Quaker settlers Amos Holloway and Nathan Gaskill in 1807. The village of Lexington was located at the intersection of the diagonal roads from Salem to Cleveland and from Deerfield to Canton. The township and the settlement took their name from the fight of Lexington in the Revolutionary War. The settlement was on the banks of the Mahoning River, which was a great waterway at the time, as it was declared navigable by act of legislation. Many thought it could become an important highway of commerce from the Ohio River, however the promise was never fulfilled. (Check over here)

There’s no doubt that these mass animal deaths occurring around the globe today is one of the many signs of the times, showing that we are living in the last days. During history we haven’t seen animals dying in these types of numbers all around the globe. But the earth and the seas are so polluted now from man made chemicals and oil spills, the animals just do not stand a chance! But this was to be projected, as God already warned through Bible prophecy that this world is heading for complete ruin. Friends, it is time to turn to Christ Jesus. He’s our ONLY hope in our lives. The age at which drunkenness is established was investigated by Dr. Chas L. Dana, and his conclusions, being established upon some thousands of cases aren’t only of great scientific value but have practical application also. Shortly says American Medicine it may be said that inebriety typically begins before 20 years of age and if a man hasn’t indulged to extra before his is 36 he’s not probably to do so afterward. There are so few who begin extreme drinking between 30 and 40 years of age that one who has reached the era of 30 without extra is nearly surely safe. Dana stated that no cases occur after 40 years of age. (vermilionohio.org)
