A rubber way to hold a fishing line in an outrigger clip or on an outrigger tag line. A rubber band prevents a clip from damaging the line and is guaranteed to break on strike. Putting a rubber band onto your fishing line is simplest when the line is under tension in both directions. While running a tempt or bait in the water to keep tension on one end of the line, hold the line in your hand and pull it down with some fingers as shown- this keeps tension on the line in the reverse direction. I do not believe there is a whole lot of science behind it. I was taught to use the smallest size rubber band will hold the line, conditions reliant. You do not have to use the stern cleats either, I believe, you may be able to use the handle on the reel. After you have the tempt at the wanted depth, take the rubber band and put the line perpendicular to the major line, then put the band through one of the rubber band loops and pull it tight. Take the loop that is left over and put it over the reel handle. As long as your using the right size, it’ll pop when it gets hit. Seem right? (thebassbarn.com)

‘Another interesting part of the Delta-T design is that nearly all the precision of the drive system is encompassed in precisely locating six holes in the top plate and six holes in the cart plate. Most every other dimension in the printer doesn’t must be correct. I laser cut these important holes in my prototype, however with a regular computer printer, you may be able to make a paper template and use it to center punch the place of these important holes. ‘. This summer, one rig that was pretty efficient on the nicer sized bluefin 60-120 pounders was the sinker rig. If pen fishing or offshore fishing, I have noticed that the most of our fish have come via the sinker rig. All this rig consists of is a 2-4 oz torpedo sinker either rubber banded or tied in line a couple feet above the hook. This rig is far from new and was around forever. We usually use it while fishing the buffer zone at Clarion for bigger yellowfin tuna. (royalpolaris.com)
