Blue, channel and flathead catfish are the most usually sought catfish species in Texas. Flathead catfish are easily identified by their brown color and flattened heads. Blue and channel catfish are alike in look, although channel catfish are grey, while blue cats tend–as their name suggests– to be blueish in color. Limblining is the simplest of all alternative fishing techniques. Tie a length of strong staging line to a limb hanging over water that is got some depth to it; say, at least five or six feet deep.
