Here is a recent example. Going into a tournament two weeks ago I had been on a really strong crankbait bite, and figured that I could cover water all day and put together a nice bound. Well, 11 a. M rolled around and all I had to show from heaving the crankbait for 4 hours was one scrawny 12 inch largemouth. The voice in my head was telling me that I HAD to move away from the shoreline and start working a football jig and shakey head into deeper water. though it was hard to put the crankbait down due to quality I had been catching only some days earlier, my head prevailed and I started saturating rockpiles. The next BFL Buckeye Division tournament is scheduled for Sept. 15-16 on Indian Lake in Lakeview, Ohio. After the 5th Buckeye Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and 40 co-anglers depending on point standings will meet the criteria for the Oct. 11-13 Regional Championship on Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky. Boaters will compete for a top award of a Ranger Z518 with a 200-hp Evinrude or Mercury outboard and a Chevy Silverado, while co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger Z518 with a 200-hp Evinrude or Mercury outboard. Jeff impolite the anglers with a five fish bound and Jeff had two nice kicker fish as well as big bass of the tournament weighing 4. 56 lbs. His second kicker was over 4 lbs. And Jeff stated catching it on the last cast of the day. Jeff’s total of 11. 74 lbs paid him $2, 520. 00 for the 1st place prize. Jeff added to that with $600. 00 for big bass on the Angler side. With all of the other tournaments being conducted this weekend as well as the BASS Federation Nation State Finals. I was happy to have a 40 ship tournament.   The Anglers and Co-Anglers were in numbers and I had two Co-Anglers that were available at a times notice to fish if we had more Anglers.   Between the extreme heat, sporadic storms and high humidity I was worried about the welfare of the anglers out on the water. The BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, with 120 tournaments during the season, five in each division. The top 40 boaters and co-anglers from each division meet the criteria for a regional tournament and are competing to finish in the top six, which then qualifies them for one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing the Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Lake Waveland Park will accept applications to schedule tournament fishing events for the 2015 season beginning Saturday November 21st 2015 at 8:00am. There will be an in person drawing event at the Waveland Town Hall. Applications can also be made by mail. In person applications have preference over mailed in applications. Mailed in applications will be processed depending on the order received and the availability of the date/dates requested. The in person applications complete application form will begin with a drawing to find out the selection order of each participant. Rob and Ricky were fishing just below the Markland Dam in 30-35 feet of water anchoring and drifting using skipjack to catch 8 fish in 2 days. Hird place went to the Frankfort, Ohio team of Willie Smith and Drew Benner with a weight of 180. 2 pounds to earn $1, 000. 00. Brookville Lake is the biggest lake inside an hour of Cincy. It's also more accommodating to ship-swimming and ship-camping than Ohio State Park lakes, which include close Hueston Woods and Cowan Lake 10 hp bound and Caesar Creek and East Fork unltd hp . There are county park lakes no swimming, 10hp bound and swimming holes along the Little Miami and Whitewater Rivers canoe/kayak/tube . Not to talk about boating on the Ohio River. ATHENS, Ala. – American Bass Anglers today declared the 2012 season details for the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series. The series will feature 20 divisions in 2012 each division offering 4 one-day Saturday tournaments and a two-day regional qualifier. Anglers advance from their division’s regional qualifier to one of 4 Regional qualifiers, and the top anglers will advance to the National Championship.
