This is a great ship for fishing because it’s stable and at 48 lbs, comparatively light weight. The Work Net is most likely more suited for hunters because fish hooks will hang up in the netting too frequently. The Accessory Tray is intended more for hunters. I particularly like the Rod Holder and the Clothesline type anchor system. This ship will include a nice folding anchor. One of the best features is the PolyLink3 hull which makes the kayak unsinkable without extra bubble flotation. And the camouflage color isn’t only working, however looks cool. Keep an eye on craigslist, my brother picked up a view caster for $200 on CL that usually retails for 550. Also do not be scared of sit ins, I use a Ride 115 SOT Sit On Top and it is nice but lots of fish have been caught over the years in SINKS Sit INside KayakS and you may be able to get them a good bit cheaper at times. My opinion is that SINKS paddle a little easier than SOTs and if you are covering lots of water it is what I’d favor. Product gives good extra padding, particularly for long trips. Did a 26 mile bike ride on Saturday and a 12 mile kayaking trip on Sunday with no discomfort. I do not like the stick on choice for the pad. I have been laying it in the present seat pad as I like the choice to let both dry at the end of a long trip. A velcro type choice could be great for those with present pads already integrated with the seat. The early spring Flounder fishery there rocks. Look for drop offs from a shallow flat that dumps into a deep hole. Fish it by throwing onto the flat then let the current take your bait/tempt into the drop-off while just keeping your line tight. Other than that drift with the current through any deeper channels bounching your bait/tempt just off the bottom. Water temps should be over 50 F and sunny days are better for early in the season. Look for pods of bait just like any other fish your wanting to catch and fish the regions where the bait is, preferrably with that bait which is caught via cast net. (tkaa.org)

This is a 1st class fishing kayak. I could not have asked for a much more stable vessle while fighting pesky largemouth! I have fished many lakes and rivers in this thing many you can not get to in a ship and it never failed me. It is light! pick it up and carry it in someplace or load it right on the car .
