I have only fished there one time so I am no expert. But the lake has many issues with farm run-off that just turns the water a pea soup color in the summer. I heard some local bass club had a tournament where 25 boats caught a total of 4 or 5 fish. One person I know who fishes it pretty regular tells a somewhat better story and says there are some bass to be caught and has caught a striper. Between the motor boats and the pea soup water I will continue to avoid the place. Derrick is right about Ontelaunee. That lake has some real good fish in it from big bass to giant muskies, just one item to add about it although, it’s off limitations to boats totally, so ice fishing is the only way to go. When I was there last year I brought the canoe and fished lake Nockamixon, a storm had come through that week and water clearness was shot to hell. This year I'm bringing the kayak most probably your guys ship registration fees are outrageous and my canoe is too long, particularly if I pay to use the trolling motor too, 50 bucks for two or three days just for the ship and another thirty for a license is just too darn high, I’d like to give the creek that feeds out of the lake a go.
