Beach Pond is a border lake that’s split between Connecticut and Rhode Island. It’s a clear lake with a rocky bottom evocative of the great smallmouth bass lakes of Maine and New Hampshire. In the late 1950s, the lake was reclaimed and stocked with trout. But, anglers ‘stocked’ the 395-acre lake with smallmouth and largemouth bass. Firstly, smallmouths prospered. As time passed, the largemouth bass population grew and today leads the fishery. Smallmouth bass are present, however are on occasion hard to find. (gameandfishmag.com)
Nice loop. Clean trail, lots of roots so watch out for those. There were a couple parts that we did not see blue blazes and we were wondering if we were still on the right path, however in general it was obviously marked. Parking looks tough if you get there late on a nice day. The parking near the ship launch was full so we went down to the exchange st one. It looks like you could most likely only get about 3 or 4 cars down there, however it worked out$. (alltrails.com)
Well I Saturday evening, got in the water a little late 5:45. Came out of the ramp area and headed to the shore just off to the right after you get in the major area. Worked the shoreline of the little islands and major shoreline. Caught about 10 total with 3 keepers the biggest about 3 1/2 lbs all big mouth. Nice fish, health. Caught them all in about 3-5 feet of water on a black 5 Yamasenko. Tried white and red spinner baits with no luck, also tried a little orangish swimming bait that runs about 3 feet down with no luck. Saw some people all working spinners and they had no luck. (bassresource.com)
Though boating is allowed, watercraft speed limitations must not surpass 12 miles per hour. Also, personal watercrafts like Jet Skis and Wave Runners are strictly banned. Also no waterskiing, boarding, or tubing on the lake. Before entering and exiting your ship to and from the lake, remove aquatic vegetation from the ship, engines, and trailers. People tend to use boats for fishing reasons. Also be cautious of wake when passing canoe paddlers and kayakers. (Browse around this site)
Consists nearly little park. The lake was once used as a supply of local drinking water and is a bit of paradise for the small boater and fisherman. it’s complete with a small boating ramp and has some limitations that help to keep it a calm spot. Only small boats are allowed on Lake White hall like canoes and rowboats. You won’t hear the roar of a power ship or Jet Ski on this peaceful body of water. (activerain.com)
The Park is beautiful and clean. We took our own boats inflatable and had a great time. The kids enjoyed the beach. It’s really a beautiful park. We didn’t go to the major beach area, crowded for us. There’s another small beach in that same park on Dogwood Drive which is good and less crowded. There’s enough parking with picnic benches and restroom close by. There’s an entrance fee of $5. If you go after 530pm just for boating or playing on the beach, no fee. (tripadvisor.com)

Took 2 kids on a Friday for the day. Arrived early–good parking spot and spot on the beach. Wasn’t at all crowded at 10 am, that quickly changed as the day progressed but. There are lots of picnic tables, not close to the shore although, shaded although. Kids & I parked it on the sunny beach. The lifeguards arrived around 10:30-11, just around the time it started to get crowded. One downside to the fun was, on two instances the lifeguards obliged everyone to get out of the water for "safety check"–bacteria levels possibly? There were some day camps present, lots of kids wading & swimming. (tripadvisor.co.uk)
Edges of the lake thaws faster than the center. Rope I hear, one can only hang on for a short time before they go under. Problem is, crawling out. Safety ice spikes. You may be able to purchase them at the outdoor store or you may be able to make them. Two broomstick handles/dowels, cut about 5" long. Drive a nail into one end, of both. Sharpen edge, if you don’t have a grinder, use a small-header nail like a brad and sharpen it on the cement outside to a point. Add eyehooks to the other end and tie a long cord to each. (meetup.com)
