I found that there’s lots of pockets which enables me to carry a VHF radio, small signal kit, whistle, strobe, with room to spare. The best features are the 2 knife tabs, the one on back serves well for a marker light while paddling at night and the front makes your knife available with both hands. The vest also makes use of reflective strips on front and back. Comfy fit and it doesn’t get in the way of your paddling stroke. No bulky lower back flotation to get in the way with the feel of my kayak’s back band; there’s just a mesh material. Small pocket is perfect for VHF radio. Other pockets are great for bug spray, sun screen and small snacks. The key keepers inside the pocket take the worry out of possible lost car keys. I have had this model for over five years and decided to get another one when they came on sale recently at REI. The small pocket was improved with this update to the original design. The Bahia Tour was great with my high back seat, which is my seat of preference. The Bahia has a thicker padding at the top of the back. Then about a 3rd of the way down there’s change to a mesh strip about two inches in length and he width of your back. This lets for great circulation of air on your back. Then it transitions to a thin pad that lets you to sit against your seat. The Bahia has two adjustable side straps, an adjustable waist strap, and adjustable shoulder straps. The shoulders are neoprene with the straps above them. This makes for the most comfy fit. I was really surprised with how most of a difference the neoprene shoulders made. (yakangler.com)

This life jacket was my favorite still! The blue on the the jacket looks better in person than on the screen and fits really well. There are three working pockets one where I can keep my phone or radio with a pair of pliers also as two same pockets on reverse sides where I frequently keep my multi tool and sail ties. It’s quite comfy to sail in if you’re competing or just having fun since it’s pretty low cut. There’s also a buckle at the bottom which lets you to unzipped the top to cool off but still keeping both sides connected. In general it is a hard life jacket and a good buy. (Check over here)

This is a really nice pfd. Lots of pocket space, lots of adjustability, comfy also. I have not had a chance to use while kayaking as of still, however I can say that after sizing to fit me and going through the paddling motions, it is not going to hinder any paddling motion. I did sit down in it to see if the back was high enough to not got the seat and I believe it is going to work out great.
