The Department of Natural Resources is holding a public meeting to discuss fish management and fishing rules for Eagle Lake in Racine County. The meeting will be held at 7 p. M. Thursday, June 8 at the Dover Town Hall, 4110 S. Beaumont Ave. Hwy. 75 in Kansasville. DNR fish surveys have determined that the lake is dominated by a slow-growing panfish population which has resulted in extreme predation on largemouth bass young and zooplankton. The lake also has had a greater incidence of algae blooms and a decline in water quality. The DNR has worked on a plan to treat Eagle Lake in the fall of 2007 to take off the fish community.
