My crew of 2 made a run due south out of Bayou Caddy MS in search of REDFISH. We hit the marsh around the 3 mile area to find dirty water. The strong Northeast winds didn’t stop Danny & Jenny. They come down every year for some hard fighting shallow water action. They love sight casting to the BULLDOZERS of the marsh. I set them up with shrimp under corks & gold spoons. We make a couple of moves & bingo the bite was on! The Reds were up in the gin clean water up tight on the lee shore. Had a great couple of days fishing the Biloxi marsh out of Hopedale LA. The weather was choice with the wind out of the north east clearing some Big fish water that was a little to dirty to fish for a week or 2 allowing us to sneak in a stick unsuspecting monster Bull Redfish. We had shots at fish in the 20-36 pound range during both days! The Louisiana Marsh is really heating up with temperature drop and the high pressure. Clear sky’s and water’s accompanied by Stud Redfish makes a great couple of mid November day’s. here is a pic of a 25 pound fish from today and a 35 pounder from yesterday! Enjoy! Capt. When we see a big flock of terns diving on bait, we ve learned to go to the terns, and those terns frequently will be feeding on the baychovies, Schindler says. The terns have also shown us where the grass flats are that hold the big speckled trout. In years gone by, we totally disregarded a flock of terns diving, because we never caught speckled trout under them.
