Silver Lake's held up lake-large and ice anglers are fishing the south end today. Be cautious as ice thickness may differ. Anglers have been catching smaller yellow perch lake-large, particularly over deeper water. Small jigs with grubs will catch usually smaller perch around 6" long, however keeper perch have been tough to come by. To target bigger perch, attempt jigging spoons and lures tipped with grubs, a part of minnow or perch eye. Tip-ups or a dead stick with small minnows to bass size shiners are better for bigger perch. Lake Ontario and tributaries: There were some decent tributary conditions in places like Burt Dam and Eighteen Mile Creek before the cold snap. We launched the ship at about 8am and only went about ¼ mile from the launch when we seen an inlet that had a big downed tree and looked like it should hold fish. Once we dropped the anchor, we set up with an array of bait; Crawlers, Red Worms and Power Bait in a range of colors.
