Steve Clapperton and the crew of Fishing With Friends traveled to Long Lake Adventures in New Brunswick in July 2014. This video is the second of two videos shot on this trip and it features fly fishing for Landlocked Atlantic Salmon and wild Brook Trout in and around Mud Lake. Steve is joined by Clay Harrison, owner of Long Lake Adventures and Jamie Smith, a friend of Clay’s. They fish the major stream feeding Mud Lake, then around the inlet in the lake where the Salmon and Trout are congregating just after sunset. To view the 1st video in this set featuring Lake Trout fishing check out our channel or click the link in the video near the video’s end. (tubemp3.org)

We think in our inalienable entitlement to an abundant range of genetically vibrant open-pollinated seeds for usual use. This is how our ancestors nourished themselves for generations and brought us all to this modern age. The Good Seed Company is dedicated to helping re-establish the community practice of selecting, saving and sharing locally-adapted non-GMO heirloom seeds for usual use. We try to supply a model for any community wanting to partake in rebuilding seed biodiversity and developing food healthiness in a time of changing weather. We do this through seed sales, education, and community outreach. (montanaorganicassociation.org)
, April when towards the end of her session she landed a 2lb Roach and 1/2hour afterward a beautiful 12lb Mirror from the House Pool. Many good Carp have been coming out from the major Pool, as well as a 15lb Common for Nick Stephens of Pembrokeshire, . One young lad had a 19lb Mirror above . The night fishermen have had some cracking sport. 2 lads from Bristol had 136 Carp throughout a weeks fishing. Steve Davis of Burryport had a blinder in the House pool landing 2 Tench to 3lb, 12 Roach over 1/2lb, almost 24 Bream to 3lb, Carp to 8lb and almost 40lb of "scraps" while fishing the margins and 2rods lengths out on sweetcorn, luncheon meat and maggots. We’re saddened to report the loss of Port Captain Ret David A. Jeffries. David was a lasting member of the GLCC serving as Port Captain of Rocky River from 2005-2012. He was an avid single-handed trailer sailor, taking his Catalina 22, WYNDANCER to many GLCC events. He was found usually in the North Channel throughout the summer. He was the proud recipient of the Commodore’s Award at the 2014 Leamington Rendezvous. As he said, he sailed up I75 at 70 MPH bringing his ship from Florida for the distinct function of attending the Rendezvous. Afterward he attended the Wilderness Rally at Turnbull Island and the Georgian Bay Rally at Keyhole. (glcclub.com)
We moved to South Norwood in January 2013 and were amazed to find such a lively musical life here. On my 1st Friday evening I was drawn into the Victory Club by the sound of someone singing Elvis Presley songs; on entering I was given a warm welcome and found a good band playing all types of music and lots of punters dancing their socks off. When I timidly mentioned I’d heard there may be jamming to be done I was dispatched to fetch my guitar and invited to play a couple of songs with the band. Right next door is St Chads Roman Catholic church that has an active social club which arranges dances in its church hall, and which has three music group/choirs who supply music for masses featuring – among others – local music teacher and musician extraordinaire Vincent Luu: singer, pianist, guitarist, bassist, saxophonist, clarinetist . In the meantime, Cypress Run doesn’t get much attention. It’s a private course in Tarpon Springs that doesn’t promote tee times for nonmembers but they may be had on the right day . Smither, whose father and brother are involved in the golf business, doesn’t mind the anonymity of Cypress Run. He keeps the course in immaculate form, and isn’t against the possibility of hosting a big event some day. (tbo.com)
Most likely one of our biggest challenges on this trip is figuring out the weather. Yesterday morning it looked like today was going to still be too windy and rough to the make the long trek to Ludington. As the day wore on, the forecast changed and by evening it looked like a go. But based on which weather forecast you looked at, we could possibly see everything from thick fog to 5 mph winds from the south to 20+ mph winds from the north to1-5 waves. It s generally a crapshoot. We ended up having a great if boring travel day. The wind was light from the east at 1st with long low rollers pushing us along from the north how does that work .
