If you'd picked Alliance, your alternatives in my own opinion could've been greater. Darnassus is really pretty and it's safe from mobs. There's also some watery bits just outside the entrance to the Exodar, also quite safe from being attacked by mobs. I know people like to speculate on how much fishing skill and equipment have to do with catching the good stuff so I thought I’d add my bit. I caught the tiny green carp with a fishing skill of under 100 and do not own a fishing pole or any other equipment. Then at around 100 fishing skill I fish up the sea turtle mount for the achy turtles all the way down Got the tiny blue carp at fishing skill 132, still trying for red and white. Fishing was simply boring as you took ages just grinding through zones till sooner or later you could not push any farther. Cooking really only saw benefits for raiding but the rest of cooking practically was useless, unless you enjoyed accomplishments. Worse still, cooking was painful in that if you did not annoy leveling up cooking as you leveled, you pretty much was forced to return to older zones to grind out the ingredients just to get some more skill points. But today it was a whole other story. The Mimic Octupus already took longer then normal, something around 30 catches, ok, maybe bad RNG, don’t worry the last few days I generally had it inside 10-15 casts . Then Flying Tyger Gourami, again about 30 casts till I got it, a little above average, however not to bad. But then, Spinefish Alpha. I generally fish at the same spot on Inkgill Mere. I took me over 240 casts to get one. It never cost me more then 30 casts to get it. Does anybody else have the same problem? Then I went back and played Trianis for a bit, running him through the Jade Forest quests in Pandaria, and noticed I was having the same problems. just, I had become so used to flying that I was automatically just heading straight towards goals, oblivious of what the map may point to, and running into all kinds of obstructions.
