The tarakihi were biting well, and again on Thursday, where we also picked up a couple of nice kingfish.  We’ve been to get some while  bottom fishing this season. We stayed for the weekend and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of our chalet. Everything was spotlessly clean and we could like to thank the team at Pacific Harbour Lodge for that. There’s a clothes cupboard but it’s situated in the toilet and we found that a bit odd. May we propose that possibly the old and noisy heater on the wall be replaced by a flat panel heater which also can be more cost efficient? The same with the old TV that possibly may be replaced by a flat screen TV that could take up lots less space? Must admit that the bed felt a bit ‘old’ and tired. With aching arms we kept dropping baits in the hunt for fish over the magic 30 kilo mark. It was Kelly of all people she does attract good fish who got hooked into the best fish. This was a smart tug of war. Kelly could get line to only lose it faster, after a sinew burning scrap and some deafening boost Kelly beat a beaut of a king. It looked fat and for all money 30kg, however alas the scales told the truth pulling the marker into the late 20s. Still, one heck of a fish and safe to say the team was now pumped. After attending the event in town me and Dad were pumped full of geocaching blood and had to find a cache. I had done this puzzle a while ago and since it was on the way home we decided to give it a crack. When we got to the air port we got some odd looks from the taxi drivers and after some fast thinking Dad used the GPS as a phone. I could not believe it but the taxi drivers brought it and left us in peace. Really creative cache and although it was in the night and raining we managed to find this one without the hint.
