I too am a big fan of the eagle claw inline reels, however mine will be dedicated to panfish and perch fishing. The drag system for me isn’t gonna work for aiming at big fish. For those of you who were used to running the drag on baitcasters it may work good, however I’m just too used to the spinning reel design to run the drag effectively. I run light line so I have the drag set pretty loose and if I back it off a little too much it gets until the end of the threading and is totally loose.
