For a Z series are a great deal. I have a 5500-Z paired up with a 12′ Sealine-X. I have caught lots of leopard sharks, big bat rays, and my new big fish, a 71" white sturgeon, without any problems. This reel is going on 4 years old and the only "maintenance" I have done to it’s a rinse with new water after every trip and lubrication 1 a year. The reel has performed flawlessly. I am happy with it. I am planning on to get another reel and it’ll either be another Jupiter or I just may use up another $10 and get the Opus Plus 5500.
