Redmill is a beautiful 16th century lake and is as close as you’ll get to fishing a conventional English estate lake with the possible of a big French Carp. Petit Pretre was first excavated some number of hundred years ago by Monks, setting up their own fishery for food, it was 1st recorded and mapped throughout the region of Louis XV 1715 – 1774 . Hence the name ‘Little Priest’ and to follow the theme, history, the individual lakes have been renamed therefore. Cloisters Lake for major Lake, Chapel Lake for Gun Lake and the top lake is called Temple Lake. We enjoyed a lovely week at Nature’s Retreat where there was something for everyone. The fishing was great and PB’s were acquired by both fisherman. The lake is great and the surroundings so peaceful. My daughter and I enjoyed relaxing on the lakeside while the men fished – it was especially beautiful because the weather was warm and sunny – an added bonus!! The house is immaculate and so well equipped – every little thing was thought of and the welcome basket was especially appreciated. Clint and Jane have gone the extra mile to offer a great holiday venue for all the family.
