Well in running our Fishing Holidays in the Florida Keys now for over 12 years 2015 was one of the toughest years ever nothing to do with the fishing which was of the charts and looks to get better every years but on a personal level. This year as many of you already know I have hadn’t one but three heart attacks but the good news all now under control with medication and will see about a heart opp in the center of next year. I have been more than lucky to find and get the help of Capt Mike Sovay who became my right hand and arm and leg man and is settling in to far better than I may have ever hoped doing all I can not do with ease thanks. Nearly three years on I have built up my Carp gear, added my years of experience of watercraft, accuracy with casting and feeding and general fishing knowledge and honed my expertise. I’m now catching Carp on a regular basis and having some great successes with some real bumper sessions and many catches. My fire is well and really re lit, I have that want to fish the best that I can, however although I m going to be a happy man just being there I feel many big Carp are on the cards at some point, follow my journey here and let us see how it goes. I have to put my hands up straight away and admit that match-style fishing is not something I really get involved in. I have nothing against it, it is just that we all have our own ‘branches’ of the sport that we pursue more and mine are sea fishing, river fishing and carp fishing. I have dabbled a bit in tempt fishing, however the world of small hooks and thin lines is a fumbly one for me, as my regular fishing friend will agree. He finds it funny when I struggle with size 18’s and any line under about 5lb! Still, I usually give it a shot; it is my responsibility in life to amuse my fellow anglers! The fact that I am far from being an expert means that I can most likely get lots more from an instructional DVD than most, so for the reasons of this review, my relative inexperience is really a bonus.
